UPK SESSIONS

Ginther Full Day UPK is from: 8:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

 

 

 

Registration Packets are currently being mailed to families whose child is eligible for Universal Pre-Kindergarten.  

 

If you are interested in your student participating in the UPK program and they meet the qualifications, please contact the Registrar's office at (585) 637-1857 so a registration packet can be sent to you.

 

  • Your family must reside within the Brockport Central School District. Your child must be 4 yrs old prior to December 1st 2025.

  • There are a limited number of openings provided for outside agencies that qualify under the NYS Grant.

    The location information will be listed on the Preference Letter that will be included with the registration packet mailed in December.

  • The UPK program is required to be five days a week.

    Our program which is 5 ½ hours per day is a full day program.

  • The focus of the curriculum will be literacy, based on the NYS Pre-School Standards, but there will also be math, science and social studies lessons. Physical education, art and music experiences are provided within the UPK classroom.

  • There are no direct costs to families for the UPK academic program at either Ginther School or the outside agencies. Families are required to provide transportation to and from UPK. School supplies are provided at no cost. Breakfast, snack, and lunch is provided to students each day.

  • A lottery is required when there are too many families requesting the same program and/or location.

  • The application of interest will be sent directly to families that are currently in our student database. If your child is not in our student data base, please call (585) 637-1857 to receive an application and other related information.
